Carbon fiber — Low-modulus pitch carbon
Strengths: Cost-oriented pitch carbon with useful conductivity, low density and moderate reinforcement capability.
When to use: Select for general composites or conductive/thermal functions when extreme mechanical performance is not required.
Key tradeoffs: Mechanical performance is below structural PAN carbon; conductive and unsuitable for RF-transparent designs.
